DubaiRead is free to read. This page explains how the site is funded, how advertising and affiliate links work here, and how we keep them separate from our guides.
How DubaiRead is funded
We earn money from advertising shown on our pages and, in some guides, from affiliate links. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the page.
Editorial independence
- Advertisers and partners do not choose what we write about.
- Advertisers do not see or approve our guides before they are published.
- Timings, fares, codes and prices in our guides come from the operators and authorities, never from advertisers.
- We recommend the free official option whenever it is the best choice for the reader, even if we earn nothing from it.

Display advertising
Ads on DubaiRead are served by third-party advertising networks, including Google. These networks choose which ads to show, and may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and on your visits to this and other websites. We do not choose individual ads.
- Ads are kept visually separate from our guides and are labelled as advertising.
- We do not place ads that are designed to look like route tables, menus or download buttons.
- We avoid pop-ups and other formats that get in the way of reading.
Affiliate links
Some guides may contain affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up or buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are only added where they are relevant to the guide, and they never change the order or the substance of our advice.
Ads we do not accept
We work to block, and will remove when we find them, ads that:
- Promote anything illegal in the UAE.
- Make misleading financial promises or promote scams.
- Imitate RTA, Salik, Darb, du, e& or any other government service or operator.
- Promote hatred or discrimination, or contain adult content.
No endorsement
An ad on DubaiRead is not a recommendation or an endorsement. Please check any product or service yourself before you use it. Advertisers are responsible for their own claims, services and privacy practices.
Advertising and your data
Advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show and measure ads. You can turn off personalised Google ads in Google My Ad Center, and learn more about choices for other networks at aboutads.info. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Report an ad
If you see an ad on DubaiRead that looks misleading or inappropriate, email dubairead.com@gmail.com with the page link and, if you can, a screenshot. We will review it and block it where we can.
